Lets hope 2013 is kinder to those of us who thought 2012 wasn't the greatest year!!
I wish everyone the very best for 2013, and a huge thanks from me to all my dear friends who helped me through last year.
The house is quiet, both kids are out! So I'm heading to the studio with the dogs & my radio, to make a start on my next linoprint.
This one was inspired a few years ago, when I went away for an art weekend to a remote farm near the village of Flash (Derbyshire?), which I believe is the highest village in England. I have looked at my sketchbook over the years, trying to figure out how I wanted to portray this beautiful valley. I believe I have finally found the solution via my lino printing. This time I am trying a different style to my Avebury & Pondfield prints, as I wanted the print to have more of a freestyle feel to it, a more hand-drawn feel, more like my sketchbook I suppose.
